IMP Extensions – SNET/CAN/Ethernet Converter

A compact, stand-alone solution with built-in SNET board for networking the IMP modules with any PC or notebook via CAN bus or Ethernet.

A fanless embedded PC using the reliable Windows XP Embedded operating system guarantees sufficient computing power and reliability.Thanks to its compact flash harddisk, a wide-range power converter allowing up to 30 V DC input voltage, and its rugged and compact aluminium casing, the converter is ideally suited for harsh industrial environments.

The converter is supported by the MESTEC IMP Universal Driver. Thus the SNET 3595 IMP Modules can be easily integrated into DIADEM, LABVIEW or your own Windows applications by use of the 32-bit Windows Dll.

The MESTEC IMP Driver supports CAN and Ethernet, thus enabling any networked PC to configure all connected IMPs and read the measured data.

Using the CAN interface and the CCP protocol, you can configure your IMPs and read the IMP data from all CAN compatible applications.
The MESTEC IMP configuration tool stores DBC files and supports CAN interfaces supplied by Vector, Kvaser and Softing.

The converter uses an integrated 20W/24VDC supply, powering up to 20 IMP modules of the 3595 series via the SNET connector.
